Hey everyone,

I know this is different than what you're used to from me, but this is something I've wanted to do for a long time, with Halloween upon us, many go and put up lists of scary scenes from Media they've seen over the years and I figured, what the hell, might as well join the club (also trying to be more active on here) ehehe. I don't rightly think I'll put it in a particular order, but I will, for some, rate where they rate on the list, but if there's ones that aren't labeled "low" or "high", don't be surprised.

Hope you all enjoy ♥

(If any of you have kids, please don't let your kids see what I'm about to link [unless they like scary pre-teen(?) to adult content]) First off, the Plagas from Resident Evil 4

I put this rather low on the list, because I went in knowing it was gonna be pretty gruesome, and I was in my Late teens/early 20s when this came out, but this is one of the more vivid moments I remember from when I was watching my brother play it, definitely "body horror" material right there.

I couldn't think of a great title for this one myself, so all I can say is, I'm with the guy who recorded this video, it's called "Pissing off the Windmill guy" from Ocarina of Time, it wasn't super scary, but his pure white eyes were unexpected, I thought he was possessed or something, and that defeating Ganondorf would break the spell ehehe.

Up next is the Andross boss battle from Star Fox 64 (Lylat Wars to those living in the UK), It was the first time I've heard Andross actually speak (I know there were the sound bytes in the Original SNES game, but it wasn't quite as intimidating), and of course, there's his second phase as the "Brain" I did roll my eyes a bit at the "only I have the brains to rule Lylat" line, but...it actually was pretty unsettling with the voice distortion, and to hear him laughing when he disappeared.

Up next is something I actually saw recently(although the game is what, from...2013?), and has actually been meme'd quite a bit I think(Cringe inhibitors anyone?). I'm talking about "Jack the Ripper Awakens" from Metal Gear Rising: Revenance, it was pretty unsettling, especially when "Jack" starts laughing even when there's a sword stuck in him(Though I guess that seldom fails to unsettle anyone).

And now onto Films and TV:

Up next is "Judge Doom's Reveal (and subsequent death)" from Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

To alot of people, this would be very scary, and I don't blame you. I think in my case, I was a bit too shocked to be scared(Christopher Lloyd was brilliant in this movie), but I think it deserves a spot. So here it is:

Next: The Hell Nightmare from All Dogs go to Heaven. I watched this movie when I was about four, same as Roger Rabbit, and I remember asking one of my parents, "what is that place?" and them telling me "It's Hell". Again, I think I was a bit too stunned to be scared, and I saw the cut version because I don't remember much of the material from the full version (and I didn't see it in theatres, I'm sure of it). But Bluth didn't pull many punches when it came to his movies(and they were marketed for kids), and this is no exception. Here's the scene:

Up next is the Clown Dream from Brave Little Toaster (Pretty sure this comes as no surprise to those who know the movie), it was pretty disturbing (definitely not for those who hate clowns). I kinda wonder if my parents knew this was gonna happen when they let me watch the movie eheh ^^;What's funny is that I didn't remember the Clown whispering "run" or laughing, just him staring with that grin and then the tidal wave of forks  Anyway, here it is:

Second to last one: Sally Gets Roboticized from the Sonic SatAM episode "Sonic's Nightmare" Yeah, as the title suggests, this was another dream sequence(which is why I put it where I did), but it was quite a bit on the disturbing side, especially since(and I actually didn't remember this until I rewatched the episode as a young adult), Sally actually screams in this part. Many fans implied the Roboticization is a painful process (I don't think that was Uncle Chuck's original design when he invented it, goes to show how fucked up Dr. Robotnik really is[that is if he sabotaged it to be painful]), but this kind of proves it. Here's the scene:

And the Number one scariest scene is what I like to call "The Batman who Laughs" This takes place in the Batman TAS episode "The Laughing Fish". In this one, Joker threatens a group of city officials (mostly ones in charge of patents), because they won't patent a Joker Toxin infected fish, and because of that, botch up his plans to cash in on him basically creating his own breed of edible fish products. Batman tries out a plan to protect the next official, but he ends up being ambushed and scratched by his joker toxin infected cat, they both come out of it alright thanks to Batman's expertise in antidotes, but it was pretty spooky to watch, this is what we see on the screen:

Well, there you have it everyone, I know there's other scary things out there, but, these are the ones I know of (some I've seen on lists before, others's I haven't seen get as much mention). That's not to say I don't think they're scary, or that they got too much mention, just that I haven't thought of them or I didn't know about them.

Either way, Happy Halloween, and Stay Safe ♥♥

Hey Everyone,

As you might have guessed, inflation has definitely been a thing as of late...and my neck of the woods is no different (Actually, I think we might have been hit a bit harder[especially in gas prices, thank god I don't use a car]).

On that note, it's been incredibly difficult to make ends meet, and I am in need of money, so like the title says, I've opened commissions (actually has been open for quite some time).

I know I've hardly been active on here, and I'll be honest, it's because I've been active on Discord, a lot(what can I say? with Channels now allowing to post art to rooms that have multiple people viewing it, it's been simpler to get the kind of artworks I've done nowadays to those who best enjoy it, however, don't go getting ideas that I'll stop using DA, I actually have been thinking of switching up my name on here [to avoid confusion and to go for consistency], and even thought of making a banner for it, I actually wouldn't mind your thoughts on that ♥). In the meantime, I'll gladly give my Discord handle to those who are interested.

Please note all prices are in Canadian Dollars, I hope you'll consider commissioning me and spreading the word, thanks so much in advance ♥

Lucky 38

2 min read

So...I made it to 38 years on this crazy ass rock of ours...Nothing to scoff at eheh, and for what it's worth, I got to have a fair bit of fun my birthday. And I do thank you all for the b-day wishes and gestures, both on the day and the ones to come (if any [in fairness, I get it, I haven't been active too much on here] ♥♥)

Wish it hadn't happened right after stuff went to crap though(both on my end and on the end of people I care about[I have to keep the details private, sorry, but...I'd feel selfish if I didn't count that])....I now have to find a new place...(have until June/July...it might sound like it's far off, but trust me...it's not nearly enough time...)

I also have to work to kinda move onto the next step with my back situation...let's just say things didn't go too well between the insurance company and me during a recent conversation, didn't get much cooperation from another party that's somewhat involved (mostly due to accidental misinformation[a bad day might have been a factor too]..gonna try it again)...it looks like I'm gonna have to jump through a lot of hoops...

There's also my next 3 month blood sugar test...it was less than promising last time...I hope lie helltat it's better this time....u.

I expected reality to set back in once the day was done, but here's hoping it's short lived..♥

...Wow...I'd say it was hard to believe it's been 20 years, but the truth is...I do believe it...still pretty mind boggling though...

In many ways I'm probably not really one to talk...After all, I'm not exactly "from the neighbourhood"...but it doesn't mean I didn't experience anything...

I was 17 at the time...only just started my final year of highschool...

Back then I had the habit of waking at 6:45 AM, I always set my alarm for the same time each day...would be in bed no later than 10:45...getting to sleep by then was a tad hit or miss, but I was often rested enough..with ample time to get ready for school...(though I didn't spend much time actually doing much to get ready, never put much thought into what to wear, and never spent much time on hair...Makeup, pff...I never wore the stuff)

...The sound of my dad prepping breakfast were pretty typical when I stepped into the livingroom that day...but there it was...on the screen...no doubt a replay by this point since I am talking about 6:45-7 AM in Pacific time...

My dad, if memory serves, was close by...usually walking between the adjacent kitchen and the livingroom...none of us said anything, all we really did (and probably could do) was watch in stunned silence as the towers fell...

eventually the time came when we had to head out to school...I was still processing what I just saw...the whole trip there was silent, perhaps because none of us were saying anything...or because I zoned out...I'm not even sure dad tuned into the radio...

Of course, inevitably, our principal did make an announcement about what happened...basically told us to try and be strong...and to try to get by with some semblance of normal...

It wasn't until I stepped outside in the afternoon that I did notice the gravity of the situation that much more...and that was the numerous diverted planes that inhabited the skies...we do live 45 minutes away from the US Border, so it makes sense we would open our airports...I bet the staff were in a mad scramble that day...even locals had to rush to open up their homes to people who got stranded...

As the afternoon went on, and in the coming days, I found out more information...

I'm not proud of it, but that was the first time I even heard of Osama Bin Laden...my dad was probably aware of his presence, but didn't think he'd do something like this...

...I still remember the day my choir teacher showed us a photo of the World Trade Center, taken in 1991 I think...

I've since even befriended people who live in New York City...one of them being https://www.deviantart.com/hectorny, while not at Ground Zero, was close enough to see what happened, other one being https://www.deviantart.com/tishadster, I don't know if he lived in NYC at the time, though...still, I can see how this would affect him too...

There has been much talk about that fateful day since then, some of it to be expected...some of it involving the different controversies that sprang up...but one thing we can agree on...

It was very definitely a day that will live in infamy...
